Time To Move On

One of the things that has been stuck in my craw for the last week or two has been the Gates arrest issue. It blows my mind to think that a police officer responding to a routine call could be in such a bizarre situation. The facts show clearly that this was not a race thing but it was a case of an officer keeping control of a situation that had spiraled out of control. How can anyone see it any other way after reviewing all the facts?

If the race champions like Gates want to move forward they need to stop acting like victims all the time. How can the majority work with the minority if the minority refuses to make an effort? It's so sad. All this has done is drive another wedge into race relations.

And the saddest part is that the people who caused the issue to escalate; Gates, Obama and Patrick, refuse to make an apology and admit they were wrong. I don't get it. Part of being being human is making mistakes and poor judgments. Part of being a man and a leader is admitting when you are wrong and moving forward.
